Grove Cottage is a beautiful, newly renovated cottage set in the charming seaside village of Allonby. Just a short distance from the sandy and shingle beach, Allonby has a small selection of shops, a post office, two inns and a variety of small shops, one being famous for its homemade ice cream!

Grove Cottage is an ideal self catering holiday cottage for a family with the beach, children’s play ground and the swimming pool with spa and sauna facilities just a short walk away and the many activities and attractions offered by the local area including the ever popular seaside town of Silloth, The Lake District Coast Aquarium, The Wave Centre and The Gincase as well as the other popular attractions of the Lake District, such as Bassenthwaite Lake within a 30 minute drive. Grove Cottage is also located close to two golf clubs at Maryport and Silloth just 3 and 6 miles away respectively.

Allonby is located between the harbour town of Maryport and Silloth in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Allonby a long sandy beech, with fine views across the Solway Estuary to the mountains of Southern Scotland. The Cumbrian Coastal Way passes through the village, and the many miles of green sea-banks are enjoyed by walkers. (A Smuggler's Route once ran through the village.)

Grove Cottage also benefits from the unique upstairs lounge with sun deck to the front accessed from the stairs in the yard.

Ground Floor

Grove Cottage is fully central heated and benefits wooden flooring through out the cottage, entrance via the front door provides access to the living room with lounge and dining areas.
Lounge Area: Lounge with comfortable leather sofas, TV, DVD player and CD player.
Dining Area: With dining table and seating for four.
Kitchen: The fully fitted kitchen has everything which you would need including: gas hob and oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge-freezer and microwave. The kitchen also has a breakfast table with seating for four.
Storage Room: Ideal for coat hanging and storing shoes.  
Shower Room: With shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin.

First Floor

Bathroom: Modern bathroom complete with bath with shower over, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail radiator.
Twin Bedroom: With two single beds, bedside cabinets and built-in wardrobe.
Double Bedroom: With Double bed, chest of drawers, side cabinet and wardrobe.
Living Room: Complete with sofa seating and double doors leading onto the sun deck.

Outside

Patio Area: Accessed from the double doors in the kitchen the patio area has outside table and seating and stairs up to the sun deck and upstairs lounge.

Additional Information

Pets are NOT permitted in this holiday cottage. A cot and high chair are available upon request (there is a small charge for these items).
On street parking for up to one car is available directly in front of the cottage.
