Cockermouth

Set at the confluence of the rivers Cocker and Derwent, this quaint market town dates back to the medieval era. Just eight miles north-west of Keswick, Cockermouth hosts a number galleries, walks and places of interest. The town was also the birth place of poet William Wordsworth. There are so many things to do making it a perfect holiday location.

No.28 is a cosy two bedroom terraced cottage located in the rural Cumbrian Village of Arlecdon, 3 miles from the Lake District National Park. The property is complete with everything you need for a self catering holiday and boasts a lovely back garden complete with patio furniture and views of the Lake District.

This property is ideal for visiting the more westerly lakes and valleys of Ennerdale, Wastwater, Loweswater, Bassenthwaite and Eskdale. It is also within ten miles of the historic town of Cockermouth, the coastal towns of Whitehaven, Workington and Maryport where the yachting harbours have recently been expanded and museums and leisure attractions can be found. A twenty minute drive will take you to the pretty seaside resort of St. Bees with its historic Priory, links golf course and wild bird sanctuary on the dramatic cliffs of St. Bees Head.

No. 28 is located less than 300 yards from the local general store and post office and within walking distance from two local pubs who serve food. Also just a short drive away are two further country pubs at Ennerdale Bridge. In addition No. 28 is ideally situated for the "Sustrans" cycle track on the "sea to sea" cycle route.

Ground Floor

Lounge: The lounge has a gas fire and a digital TV.
Kitchen: The kitchen/diner has a dining table that seats four. The kitchen has a fridge, oven and hob and is complete with a full inventory of crockery, cutlery, cookware and equipment. There is a utility room with a freezer and dishwasher and a separate room accessed from the garden with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Bathroom: Wet room with large shower with hand rails, a toilet and a hand basin.

First Floor

Double Bedroom: The main bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, dresser, bedside tables and a mirror. There is also an ensuite toilet in the main bedroom.
Twin Bedroom: The second bedroom has twin beds and some storage units.

Additional Information

Parking for No. 28 is on the street outside. One well behaved dog is welcome at no extra cost charge.

Wi-Fi is available for guests within this holiday cottage.
