Sefton House is a classic three-storey Lakeland Green Slate town-house located at the heart of Keswick. This newly refurbished home which has been lovingly restored with the assistance of an interior designer and local trade’s people.
This beautiful house sleeps eight people in two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom and one bunk bedroom. Sefton House is less than five minutes walk from the centre of Keswick, with its selection of traditional Cumbrian pubs, restaurants, shops and other popular tourist attractions.
Sefton House achieves a modern and comfortable feeling though its cleverly designed interior while retaining its identity as a traditional Lakeland town-house.
The house provides an excellent base for exploring the Lake District, with the spectacular Borrowdale and Newlands valleys only a few miles and a wealth of outdoor activities and attractions just on the doorstep of this property.
Situated between Skiddaw and Derwent Water, Keswick is a popular market town offering a wide range of tourist attractions, shops, pubs and restaurants and many museums and other places of interest. The town was recorded during the 13th century as a market town for cheese (the name Keswick actually means "cheese town"). Some of the most popular attractions of Keswick include: the Theatre by the Lake and the Cumberland Pencil Museum. Many of the popular attractions of Keswick are within walking distance of Sefton House (not to mention the Keswick Convention; which is only a couple of minutes walk away!).
Ground Floor
Entrance into this traditional Cumbrian house is into the entrance hall with original quarry tiled floor, leading into:
Lounge: The cosy lounge has comfortable leather sofa seating and two leather pouffes, gas flame fire, Digital LCD TV with DVD player (digital reception however is not available until mid-2009) and CD player and iPod/MP3 player dock.
Kitchen: Fully fitted kitchen with tiled floor providing all the equipment you may need including upright fridge-freezer, dishwasher, Microwave and Oven and Hob.
Dining Room: Adjacent to the kitchen with beech table and seating for eight. The wall units provide the storage for the crockery which is supplied.
First Floor
Double Bedroom: Spacious double bedroom with fabulous king-sized four-poster bed, bedside cabinets and wardrobes.
Twin Bedroom: With two single beds and hardwood bedroom furniture.
Bathroom: The fully tiled luxurious self-contained bathroom with toilet, washbasin, bath with shower over, mirrored cabinet and towel radiator.
Second Floor
Bunk Bedroom: Bunk bedroom; ideal for the little ones complete with single bunk beds with individual reading lamps above and a built-in storage and cloths hanging.
Master Double Bedroom: The master double bedroom offers excellent views over the town and towards Skiddaw. Complete with king-sized bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe, DAB Digital Radio and access to the en-suite shower room.
En-suite Shower Room: Fully tiled with good sized shower, toilet, wash basin with illuminated mirror.
Additional Information
Fuel and Bed Linen are included. Cot and High Chair are available upon request (linen is not provided for the cot). Pets are NOT accepted in this accommodation.
Parking is on street with no permits required.
Please note there are no clothes washing facilities in the house, although the local laundrette is within very easy walking distance. This property is excluded from the couple discount offer.
