Iona Cottage is a delightful four star terrace cottage located in a quiet cobbled square in the popular seaside village of Allonby; just a short distance away from the sandy and shingle beach, Iona Cottage is one of a selected few four star self-catering holiday cottages in the village of Allonby. The village has a post office, two inns and a variety of small shops, one being famous for its homemade ice cream!

Allonby is located between the harbour town of Maryport and Silloth in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Allonby has long sandy beaches which provide spectacular views across the Solway Estuary to the mountains of Scotland; the beach also provides excellent windsurfing and kite-surfing for intermediates and experienced.

Iona Cottage is newly modernised and is deceptively large; this delightful cottage is equipped with everything you would need in a self catering holiday cottage.

Iona Cottage is the ideal place for a family or couple with a pet; being such a short distance from the beach for a long afternoon walk. Also located close to the cottage are two golf clubs at Maryport and Silloth just 3 and 6 miles respectively; Iona Cottage is also less than 400 yards from the local swimming pool with spa and sauna facilities, and the village has a well tended playground for children.

Ground Floor

The cottage is fully central heated, entry to the cottage via front door into the:
Lounge: Stylishly designed lounge with comfortable sofa seating, modern flame effect fire, Digital LCD TV, DVD player and Hi-Fi.
Kitchen & Dining Room: Complete with gas hob and electric oven, slim-line dishwasher, microwave and dining table with seating for four. Well equipped to a high standard.
Utility Room: With fridge-freezer, washer/dryer and space for coat hanging this leads into the kitchen and dining room.
Yard: Accessed from the utility room, with outside tap and hose (perfect for washing dogs down after a beach walk!) and picnic bench. The yard is secure for dogs to use safely and is accessible via a back gate onto a cobbled side access.

First Floor

Master Bedroom: With double bed, built-in wardrobes with drawers below and bedside cabinets.
Twin Bedroom: With two single beds, built-in wardrobes, bedside cabinet and mirror.
Luxury Family Bathroom: With Bath and Shower over, toilet and wash basin.

Additional Information

Pets are welcome in this cottage. All bed linen, towels and fuel are provided. Cot and High Chair are also available upon request; however linen is not provided for the cot.
