Description

The Big White House is a detached self-catering Family house located in the village of Greengill; 5 minutes from the market town of Cockermouth in Cumbria. The house can accommodate groups of up to 18 people in 9 bedrooms; each room has en-suit toilet and wash basin and security boxes for storage of personal belongings.

The house is ideal for family parties, get-togethers and corporate meetings; unlike camping barns and hostels the Big White House offers sole use. The House has access to the Northern Lake District including areas such as: Lorton, Keswick and Buttermere, with excellent views over the Solway to Scotland.

Ground Floor

Lounge: The ground floor lounge has seating for seven people, this lounge has no TV which makes it ideal for chatting.
Dining Room: Adjacent to the lounge; with seating for up to 18 people and tables which can be re-arranged.
Kitchen: Fully-Fitted kitchen complete with two electric ovens, gas hob, two electric grills, two toasters, microwave, constant boiling water vendor, two dishwashers, washing machine and dryer.
Bedroom 1: Double Bedroom with En-Suite toilet and washbasin.
Bedroom 2: Twin Bedroom with En-Suite toilet and washbasin.
Bedroom 3: Twin Bedroom with En-Suite toilet and washbasin.
Bedroom 4: Bunk Bedroom with En-Suite toilet and washbasin.
Bedroom 5: Bunk & Single Bedroom with En-Suit toilet and washbasin.
Bedroom 6: Double Bedroom with En-Suite toilet and washbasin.
Shower Room: Shower room with toilet, hand basin and shower.
Pool Room: Pool room complete with pool table.
Clothes Drying Room: Clothes drying room complete with clothes horses and ironing facilities.

First Floor

Bedroom 7: Bunk Bedroom with En-suite toilet and washbasin.
Bedroom 8: Twin Bedroom with En-suite toilet and washbasin.
Bedroom 9: Twin Bedroom with En-suite toilet and washbasin.
Bathroom 1: Bathroom with toilet, washbasin, bath and shower over bath.
Bathroom 2: Bathroom with toilet, washbasin, bath and shower over bath.
TV Lounge: TV lounge with comfortable seating for 5/6 people with TV and Stereo.
Snack Kitchen: This is a smaller kitchen with microwave, fridge etc.
TV & Computer Room: Additional third living room with comfortable seating, TV and computer for surfing the internet or checking emails.
Tourist Info & Meeting Room: This room has brochures for local attractions and menus for local pubs etc. The room also has tables and seating, ideal for meetings.

Outside

Parking Area: Parking area suitable for up to eighteen cars.
Garden: Garden with Patio Furniture, BBQ and two large lawned areas, with views over the Solway.
Summer House: Located at the edge of the garden with views over the Solway.
Lockup: Secure Container, ideal for the storage of mountain bikes, canoes etc.

Additional Information

All bed linen, towels and fuel are provided. Cot and High Chair are available upon request; however linen is not provided for the cot. Pets are welcome in the accommodation; however there is a charge.
